Childish David's B & W Photoshop Actions
compatible with PS7, CS, CS2 & CS3
The B & W Photoshop actions are one of the most
popular B&W actions available. Vanilla, Jungle & Magic
are three different conversion methods that each come in 4 different
contrast and brightness levels. This makes it very convenient and quick
to pick the one you want based on the original photo and the look you
want to go for.
They are designed to run very quick but are fully adjustable. Each step
of
the conversion is kept as a seperate layer so you can go in and tweak
them. The unique "childish david" toning is also kept as a separate
layer to you can adjust the toning or turn it off for neutral
B&W photos.

I have always been a fan of B&W and shot a lot of
B&W film. I even processed my own medium format film rolls and
loved the typical film look. Once I switched to digital I experimented
a lot to create a method to reproduce this look. This was how my B
& W actions were born.
After getting a lot of positive feedback on my conversions and
requests to make them available I created these actions. I
have tested these actions in all versions of Photoshop from Version 7
and up. The only exception is the Jungle action. It used features that
are only available in Photoshop CS, CS2 or CS3. The Vanilla and Magic
actions will work with Photoshop 7 and up.
These actions don't work with any version of PS Elements. I
tried, but Elements simply doesn't supprt the features I need for my
conversion method. Elements is very limited and even though I could
create a B&W action, it would not be the same quality.
