recital 2008

Hello dance parents and families!

We covered both shows with three photographers shooting over 7000 photos using the best cameras available for low light situations like stage performances. Our goal was to capture the true moment of the show rather than the standard posed studio shots. Our kids have worked long and hard for their big moment, which Erin and Joe made into a wonderful event for everyone. These photos are true documents of these moments, emotions and excitement of the recitals.

We hope you enjoy the photos as much as the show. On top of individual photos we have also created a book for each show (one for the 10 am recital, one for the 2 pm recital) which documents the entire event photographically using a selection of the best photos from each recital. A sample of these books will be at the Star Dance studio for you to see. We went through a lot of research to find the best quality print and we are sure you will love these books as much as we do.

Please keep in mind all photos were taken at the show using the existing light in full motion. Although we used the best cameras available for low light situations the conditions and the fact these are 'action shots' while the dancers are moving there are physical limitations in what we are able to capture. Some photos may show a small amount of 'motion blur', but all photos will print fine even at full page print size.

We tried to get at least one individual shot of each dancer, but the staging, timing and choreography sometimes made it difficult, especially those dances that had two rows of dancers.

You can order sindividual prints or use our packages for a better price. To save the cost of shipping all orders can also be picked up at the Dance Center. Please take a minute to create an account in the online shop to make sure your orders are saved. We can't process orders without an account. You can change your mind any time and add or remove items. Orders will not be processed until full payment is received which also makes the order final.
